Dear Ms Segovia,

I am writing you in response to the advertisement in today's "Opportunities". I am a professional teacher and I would like to join the campaing to teach children in poor countries.

I am a professional teacher. I graduated from PUCV college last year. During my studies I took part in a number of activities related to the campaing.

Since I left the college I have particpated in two specialist training courses. I work in the state school in my home town, despite of that I could easily take a two-month leave to join your campaing.

Due to my professional qualifications, I can take of all kinds of psychological problems the children might be suffering from. In addition I could act as a terapist or painter and help them with psychomotor problems. Appart from that I am sure I would cope with other difficult situations, such as taking care of the homeless.

I would be grateful if you could inform me when you will be announcing the results of the applications. I would be happy to attend an interview at your earliest convenience.

I am writing to ask for more information about the "Antarctic Cruise" holiday which I saw advertised in "The Tourist". My husband and I are both interested in the holiday, but I would be grateful if you could give me more information about the travel package. 

Firstly, I would like to know more about the sort of conditions on the holiday, could you please tell me  about the accommodation provided. 

Secondly, I am slightly worried as I have never been on this sort of holiday before, I am wondering if you could send me information about weather, the risks and what kind of clothes we have to use?, something else I would like to ask about is food, do you offer full or half board?

Thirdly, I would prefer not to share a cabin unless I have to, because it is not comfortable at all. I addition, I would also like to know if you offer discounts for groups, are there any special offer?

Finally, could you possibly give me details about what extras there might be?

Draft of a description of an event...

I went to La Serena last summer with my friend; we decided to go to Valle del Elqui, because we wanted to know the camping, the atmosphere of the place and its natural wealth. 

We started our trip in La Serena, we went to “El Faro” and then we ate some delicious typical food. Up to that moment the trip was amazing, and then we decided to take a bus and go to Valle del Elqui, once on the camping we tended the tent and met our new neighbors. After that, we went to a party with them and we spent all night long there.

What I found really exciting was the atmosphere of the place; we had a great time because it was our first trip together. The scenery was fascinating; it was a big display of beautiful colors.

All things considered, it was a highlight of my holiday, because I did not know La Serena, and go on a trip with my best friend was totally a magnificent experience, I hope we go again next summer, because we knew amazing people and we wanted to meet them again.

Sexism towards women than towards men

Today is common to see women working in a lot of kinds of jobs, they have been earning some respect from the society because they are able to work in any job they want.

Some people say, there are some fields in which they can not work for example: Construction and mining industry, it could be dangerous for them to have an accident or suffer some damages.

However, women are tying to gain the same rights as men, working as equals, but we know there are still some people that do not realise we are in a new era, the times are changing and not only men have the rights to work in certain jobs.

I am a woman, I know how difficult is to work beside a man, they are always criticizing us, but I know women are strong and we can do whatever we want despite of being the shadow of the men.
